Top 10 teams that NEED to be re-located

During The Majors LIVE we usually take a look at the best of the best for our Majors Top 10 lists. However, this past week on The Majors LIVE we highlighted the top ten teams that NEED to be re-located.

10. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (MLB)

Now before you jump all over me for the Angels being on this list hear me out. I don’t think they should move at all, they play in Anaheim, have a nice stadium and great fans. They do however need to decide on a name. Is it the Los Angeles Angels, Anaheim Angels or California Angels? You can’t incorporate all of the cities into one name.

9. Los Angeles Clippers (NBA)

Even with Blake Griffin the Clippers will never be able to escape the Lakers’ shadow. Besides needing a sane owner the Clippers are in desperate need of a city they can call their very own.

8. New Orleans Hornets (NBA)

There are some cities out there that just can’t handle more than one sports team and New Orleans is one of them. Unfortunately New Orleans is a Saints town and will always be a Saints town.

7. Sacramento Kings (NBA)

When you have a piss poor stadium then add no fan base you have the recipe of a team that needs to re-locate. This is the exact position the Sacramento Kings are in now.

6. Florida Panthers (NHL)

The first NHL team to make this list is the Florida Panthers. They appear at number six because they have had some success in the past but unfortunately for them they are located in one of the worst professional sports cities and are in arguably the least popular sports league in the United States.

5. Atlanta Thrashers (NHL)

Atlanta is one of those hockey hells that players in the NHL dread getting traded to. No fan base, playing in a warm weather city and have had virtually no success since their inception. A great recipe for re-location.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL)

Even bad teams sell out in the NFL from time to time. The Jags never sell out. Time to re-locate. Case Closed.

3. Phoenix Coyotes (NHL)

Who’s bright idea was it to move a team playing in Canada to the desert? Phoenix is a prime example on why an NHL team should never be located in Las Vegas.

2. Florida Marlins (MLB)

Aside from needing a new owner (like many other teams) the Marlins are unfortunately based in one of the worst sports cities in America. Miami is notorious for having trouble supporting their teams that are doing well.

1. Tampa Bay Rays (MLB)

There’s a reason why Florida should have never of gotten MLB teams and the Tampa Bay Rays are the reason why. When you have the players calling out the fans for not supporting the team you know you have a problem.
