According to to both Desmond Purnell and Ian Rapoport, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will sit this week against the Cardinals with two fractures in his back.

#Cowboys coaches expected Tony Romo to show up and talk his way in. But Romo made the call last night that he couldn’t play today, I’m told.

Romo apparently made the call last night according to Rapoport who also believes the Cowboys may not even bring their starting QB to London in order to give him two weeks to rest with their bye following.
So with Romo out, Brandon Weeden takes over the starting role.
