The Detroit Tigers released their Spring Training schedule Wednesday which will consist of 35 games beginning March 2nd against Florida Southern College, a Division II team based in Lakeland.
This will be the 76th season for the Tigers in Lakeland which is the longest relationship between a major league team and spring training host city in the Major League Baseball. This will also be 47th consecutive season at Joke Marchant Stadium.
Individual spring-training game tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Jan. 7 (tigers.com).
