Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland has released the lineup for the teams first exhibition game on Friday against Florida Southern…

Will Rhymes, 2b

Magglio OrdoƱez, rf

Victor Martinez, dh

Jhonny Peralta, ss

Brennan Boesch, lf

Brandon Inge, 3b

Ryan Strieby, 1b

Alex Avila, c

Andy Oliver, p

According to John Lowe of the Detroit Free Press Leyland indicated that each starter will get one at bat and that Ryan Rayburn will succeed Victor Martinez at designated hitter.

Lowe also mentions that there will be a bit of a shuffle for the starting pitchers in the beginning of the season…

Due to two open dates in the first week of the season, Leyland hasn’t determined whether Brad Penny or Phil Coke will start the second game of the season, in New York. Justin Verlander will pitch the opener in New York, and Max Scherzer will pitch the third game in New York so that he’s in line to pitch Opening Day at Comerica Park.
