Klay Thompson and Chris Paul are reportedly on their way out in the Bay Area.
First, according to Shams, the Warriors are prepared to work on a sign-and-trade with Klay Thompson signaling an end to his thirteen-year stint with Golden State.
Additionally, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, Klay is expected to have discussions with the Clippers, Lakers, and Mavericks in the “opening hours of free agency”.
Meanwhile, Woj also notes that the Warriors are also waving veteran guard Chris Paul who had a $30M guarantee date today.
Paul was originally acquired for Jordan Poole last summer accepting a reduced role with the team while coming off the bench for the first time in his career. And in that reduced role, CP3 averaged 9.2 points and 6.8 assists in 26.4 minutes.
