The Patriots are going to another Super Bowl as Tom Brady reminds us again he’s the best now and ever

It was Brett “the Hitman” Hart who uttered the phrase that he was the best is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.

Perhaps that phrase is debatable in the professional wrestling world (no disrespect Hitman) but not in the NFL. That’s because Patriots quarterback Tom Brady once again reminded anyone – in case there were any doubters – that he is in fact the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.

And yes. He still is the BEST in the NFL. I mean lets put into perspective what he did tonight. He once again went on the road into a hostile environment and outplayed his counterpart Pat Mahomes who’s young enough to be his son if the greatest of all time managed to knock up his girlfriend at the end of high school.

So this is Brady’s 9th trip to the Super Bowl and if you want to feel any older, especially again when you consider Brady is 18-years older than Mahomes here’s something else to ponder. When Brady made it to his first Super Bowl, the QB he’ll be going up against in Super Bowl LIII Jared Goff was just seven years old. The head coach he’ll be going up against Sean McVay was just 16 years old.

Brady has also made it to more Super Bowls now with the Patriots than all other teams have made it in their entire history. Today’s AFC Championship put Brady ahead of the Cowboys, Broncos and Steelers who each as a franchise made it eight times.

And despite what happens in two weeks, how Brady looked tonight it seems as though he can go to a couple more (at least) after this season.
