The latest issue of Sports Illustrated will feature a cover that’s pretty remarkable in the sense of what it captures and the story immediately afterwards.
Obviously the cover depicts the scene of the Boston Marathon just seconds after two explosions took place at the finish line wounding many and killing three. We also see first responders springing into action with tremendous disregard for their own safety and total regard for everyone else. Next we see a elderly man knocked to the ground by the initial explosions only to get up and finish the race.
Despite the little faith we might have in humanity right now, it’s stories like these that we’ll continue to hear in the coming days that will lift us back up.
The cover of the Chicago Tribune was in itself pretty awesome..
