The New York Mets have no idea where Yoenis Cespedes is.
Sunday, Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen said the team was unaware of the outfielder’s whereabouts as Cespedes didn’t report to the ballpark today and has failed to get in contact with the team. Likewise any attempt by the Mets to get in touch with Cespedes has been unsuccessful.
The Mets releasing a statement prior to the game without knowing for sure the health and wellbeing of Cespedes probably wasn’t the best course of action taken. Nonetheless the health and wellbeing of the Outfielder should be the number one priority of the team at this time.
