The Timberwolves are in deep, deep shit.

Sunday, the Mavericks closed out Game 3 with a 12-3 run for a 116-107 win over Minnesota giving Dallas a 3-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals. The Timberwolves must now pull off something that has never been done before, come back from a 0-3 hole.

The Mavericks were also able to overcome the loss of center Dereck Lively II after the rookie left with a sprained neck when he took an accidental knee to the back of the head from Karl-Anthony Towns.

Speaking of KAT, the Minnesota vet had 14 points but was useless from beyond the arc missing all eight three-point attempts including one when down by four with just 1:25 remaining.

Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards netted 26 points for Minnesota but became essentially non-existent after scoring eight consecutive points to tie up the game in the third quarter.

The Mavericks now look to close out the Timberwolves Tuesday night and stamp punch their ticket to the Finals probably to face the Celtics who look sweep the Pacers Monday night.
