The Maryland Bobcats of the third-tier National Independent soccer Association (NISA) have reportedly acquired the rights of amateur side Steel Pulse FC according to MBFC’s website.
Maryland Bobcats FC (MBFC) has acquired the rights to Baltimore-area amateur club Steel Pulse Football Club. Having previously played in the Maryland Major Soccer League, Eastern Premier Soccer League, NISA Nation, NISA Independent Cup and the Maryland Super Soccer League, Steel Pulse now joins forces with MBFC to expand the reach of soccer in the state of Maryland.

The move establishes another path-to-pro system within Maryland lower-league soccer that could greatly benefit the Bobcat club moving forward given this specific affiliation. Steel Pulse has had their fair share of success within the amateur soccer scene winning the Maryland Major Soccer League’s Spring and Fall seasons in 2019 while also capturing the Maryland Super Soccer League title in its inaugural season back in 2021.
Aside from their current affiliation, the Bobcats and Steel Pulse also share another recent historical marker having played against MBFC in the 2021 Mid-Atlantic Final while finishing third in the 2022 Northeastern region.
