He sucks! He’s an ass! He’s the worst center in the league!
Now that you’ve got that out of the way Lions fans the team re-signed center Dominica Raiola to a one-year deal giving the veteran a ‘nice raise’ according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

The exact numbers of that raise haven’t been released however you can determine it’s north of the $950,000 veteran minimum he was contracted under last season to remain on the team.
Bottom line though the Lions get a still pretty solid presence in the middle of the line who’s coming off one of his better season’s as a pro. It also takes away from a position they would’ve had to address either in free agency or the draft. And if it wasn’t for that frat boy outburst on the Wisconsin band last year in Green Bay laced with homophobic slurs you could probably say his season went pretty blemish free.
Other than Raiola, the other options on the free agent market (potentially) according to ProFootballTalk.com are Alex Mack of the Browns, Brian de la Puente of the Saints and Evan Dietrich-Smith of the Packers which would make for an awkward yet pretty funny reunion with Ndamukong Suh. Not to mention an increasingly annoying storyline heading into camp.
