During a game between the Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants Friday night, riverboat smokestacks in the centerfield stands caught fire forcing the evacuation of fans in that area of the stadium.
Nothing to see here. Just a major-league ballpark on fire. pic.twitter.com/5Vv3wlu0Dy

The smokestacks apparently double as a launching point for fireworks during a Reds scoring play which went into full effect after Billy Hamilton’s home run. It was during those fireworks that one of the stacks caught fire.

Luckily no one was hurt during the fire and the Cincinnati Fire Department was able to extinguish the flames pretty quickly.

Unfortunately I’ll have to finish things up with a terrible pun and say the Reds unlike their smokestack couldn’t catch fire and fell to the Giants 10-2.
