The Donald Sterling decision – STERLING BANNED FOR LIFE

UPDATE: NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has announced that the league has banned Clipper owner Donald Sterling for life and issued a $2.5 million dollar fine. 

In addition Silver will encourage the owners to put the wheels in motion to force Sterling to sell the team.

Head coach Doc Rivers says that if Donald Sterling is the team’s owner next season he will step down.

In just about 10 minutes, NBA commissioner Adam Silver is expected to take the podium and reveal the outcome of the investigation centered around Donald Sterling and his racist tirade released to the public by TMZ Sports this past weekend. Ahead of the announcement speculation is stirring regarding what Silver could say or do to the embattled Clippers owner who has a vast history of racism in his past. According to TMZ Sports, Silver is expected to slap Sterling with a multi-million dollar fine and an indefinite suspension. The suspension according to the report will not include members of Sterlings immediate family but the NBA will have to approve the appointed representative running the team. Silver also reportedly had a forensics expert review the recording that brought fourth this mess and found no evidence of tampering.
