Detroit

The NFLPA recently released its team-by-team report card, which included grades for various categories including head coaching, team facilities, and so on. It also got pretty in-depth as players also had to opportunity to grade the team’s food, how they treat families, and ownership.

Some of the items that stood out among the league were the Cardinals receiving four Ds and 2 Fs while averaging out to be the worst team in the league when it comes to these various focus areas. The Bengals got an F for their treatment of families as well as for food with them apparently not offering three meals a day.

Meanwhile, Miami finished first overall for the second year in a row while Dan Quinn received the highest marks for a head coach.

As far as the Lions go, they finished ninth among the 32 teams when you averaged about the individual categories. Head coaching was the team’s highest mark which doesn’t come as a surprise with the Nutritionist/Dietician category receiving the lowest mark.

Honestly, despite the generally good marks, they still seem surprisingly low. Perhaps the low grades in Nutrition and Diet is an explanation for the vast number of injuries the team sustained throughout this last season. Also, the locker room being ranked 18 out of 32 was pretty surprising again given the presumably huge culture shift.
