Rex Ryan has been fully successful at pushing Mario Williams out the door.
Today, the Buffalo Bills released the former All-Pro after a forgettable 2015 for Williams’ standards that saw him record just five sacks. Unfortunately too the 2015 season also saw a year that Williams often clash with head coach Rex Ryan whose new defensive scheme never really gelled with that particular Buffalo defense, including Williams.
I'm told by a source Bills DE Mario Williams has been informed he's been released.

Williams also wasn’t shy to express his disillusionment with Ryan’s defense but was open to coming up with a way to stay in Buffalo.
Obviously that never came to fruition as the 31-year old with a $19.9 million dollar cap hit in 2016 was shown the door.
To be fair though, the cap strapped Bills needed to do something to alleviate some of those money concerns which transitions to $12.9 saved heading into next season.
