Super Bowl media day becoming less and less about hard hitting journalism and more sound bite central, something admittedly I love to take on here on TMSNX. Unfortunately though you also get the poor man’s Ryan Seacrest’s of the world who have never written a sports piece in their lives asking the most asinine questions to boot.
Nonetheless here’s the best from today’s kinda lackluster media day:
Peyton Manning says he didn't create "Omaha." Part of Broncos offense before he arrived. Says Giants, Patriots use "Omaha" audible.

Broadcasting may not be in Wes Welker’s future…

It looks like Rodgers-Cromartie eased up on the retirement talk if the Broncos won the Super Bowl…

Meanwhile you have to wonder if this is the last game for Champ Bailey.

I hope your not looking at this on a big screen. Thanks NFL Network!
Richard Sherman arrives at #SBMediaDay: https://t.co/QpMKD9gM0c
— NFL Network (@nflnetwork) January 28, 2014
Aaaaannnnddddd here we go with perhaps the most overblown story of the past two weeks by both the media and Sherman himself.
Richard Sherman early to podium, earns points with fans by lauding Jersey. Said perception of him would b different "if ppl got to know me."
— Kim Jones (@KimJonesSports) January 28, 2014
What does Richard Sherman want to do when he retires? "I want to sit in front of a camera and talk football." … He absolutely will.

We only have time for the hard hitting questions…
Richard Sherman, asked at Media Day what he'd say to strippers: "There are other avenues to make money. Women can do anything they want."

Meanwhile Best Mode was very short in his media day appearance answering questions for about six minutes… off the stage and off to the side.

Pete Carroll asked about Marshawn's 6:30 media session "I heard he did a great six minutes. Some comedians make a career off of that" #SBSMG

Does the NFL hand out press passes for this like Halloween candy?
Early nominee for worst question: "Is this a must-win game?"

New worst question leader: "Who has the smelliest farts in the locker room?"
What are we doing here …
