The Angels, who have been rumored to be in the market for a bat will more than likely look to platoon the switch hitting Victorino with left-handed batter Matt Joyce whose been pretty good against right-handed pitching. However the Angels are said to still be in the market for more offensive help, especially from the corner outfield position.
The 34-year old Victorino is in the final year of his contract that has around $4.5 million left on the deal.
For Boston, Rutledge has yet to see major league action this season but has been pretty good at the Triple-A level accumulating a .286/.336/.432 slash line.
