Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has been referenced in a Florida court order connected to an armed robbery and kidnapping investigation in Tampa.
According to court documents filed in Hillsborough County, Arnold’s name surfaced in connection with an incident that allegedly took place on February 4, 2026. The investigation centers around a robbery and kidnapping that prosecutors say stemmed from items reportedly stolen from an Airbnb rental Arnold was using.
Per the Detroit News:
The allegations mentioning Arnold were included in a seven-page order from Hillsborough County Circuit Judge J. Logan Murphy that granted the state’s motion for a pretrial detention against Boakai Hilton, who is alleged to have planned the kidnapping and robberies during a car ride with Arnold in retaliation for a pair of thefts that occurred at Arnold’s rental home in Largo, Florida, a few days prior.
Court filings indicate the situation escalated after two alleged thefts at the rental property. Authorities claim a group attempted to retrieve the stolen property, which led to what investigators describe as a retaliatory ambush. Several individuals have since been arrested and face charges related to armed robbery and kidnapping.
Importantly, Arnold has not been arrested or charged with a crime. His name appearing in the court order reflects reference within the legal narrative of the case, not a formal accusation or criminal filing against him.
Reports indicate that items allegedly stolen from the rental property included luxury bags, firearms, a cellphone, and a large amount of cash. Law enforcement continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As of now, neither the Detroit Lions nor Arnold’s representatives have issued an any kind of extensive public statement regarding the court filing or the situation leading up to it.
