Tebow terrible in loss to Detroit, displays why he isn’t an NFL QB

Sure he’s a nice guy, but just because you’re a good guy doesn’t mean your going to succeed in the NFL.

Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow was dreadful in a 45-10 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon. He completed  only 15 of 39 passes for 172 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. That one interception was a costly one too as Chris Houston picked off the second year QB and returned it 100 yards for the touchdown.

Coming out of college, where he was hailed as one of the greatest college QB’s to ever play the game, there was plenty of concern surrounding his transition from the college game to the pro game.

And all those concerns came to fruition Sunday.

When playing a decent to good team in the Detroit Lions, Tebow wasn’t accurate, failed miserably under pressure as the Lions got to him seven times and the aspect of his game that was supposed to be a strength, his running, got him absolutely no where. In fact you could say that his scrambling capabilities were a hinderance to him since it often times forced him to throw off his back foot.

Sure the Broncos are a bad team all around and didn’t offer Tebow much help in the loss.

But, a lot of Tebows mistakes came when he held off the ball way too long forcing the offensive line to contain a deep and dangerous Detroit defensive line way too long.

It may even get worse for Broncos fans…

Denver head coach John Fox said Monday that Tebow will be their starting QB Sunday when the Broncos take on the Raiders.
