In the wake of the NHL’s Winter Classic between the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Team USA Hockey unveiled the roster they would be sending to Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympics.
In goal the United States chose to go with Jimmy Howard of the Red Wings, Jonathan Quick of the LA Kings and Olympic veteran Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres.
On offense the United States should have a nice amount of fire power with Zach Parise (Wild), Phil Kessel (Maple Leafs), Patrick Kane (Blackhawks) and Ryan Callahan (New York Rangers). On defense the U.S. will go with Ryan Suter (Wild), Brooks Orpik (Penguins) and Ryan McDonagh (New York Rangers) among others.
