Tater Tot isn't going anywhere

If anyone is hoping or wondering whether or not Michigan QB Tate Forcier will be leaving the University think again, this isaccording to his father who says his son isn’t transferring.
The speculation comes largely in part of Forcier’s comments to AnnArbor.com when he said, “All you need to know is I’m out,”. This came right after Denard Robinson led Michigan to a 30-10 victory over UConn on Saturday.
Larry Large of the Detroit News writes that Forcier’s father said that it is a “150-percent fact” that his son is staying with Michigan and that his son is simply just frustrated.
Forcier was the starting QB for Rich Rodriguez last season however was the only one of Michigan’s three QB’s not used during yesterday’s game. True freshman Devin Gardner game into the game briefly after Robinson was hit hard. In his debut as a starter, Robinson accounted for 383 yards and two touchdowns.
Given the importance of the win yesterday for Rich Rodriguez and the team in general Tate Forcier seemed very disinterested in the game late, sitting by himself on the bench with his helmet off. His behavior was even questioned by the television broadcasters.
If yesterday’s performance is any indication on the type of season Robinson is in for Forcier’s chances of starting seem very slim. In addition to this, the presence of Devin Gardner would also seem to indicate that Forcier’s playing time will be limited as well. The move by head coach Rich Rodriguez seems very similar to what former Lions coach Bobby Ross did in 1997 when he demoted starting QB Scott Mitchell to third string in favor of rookie Charlie Batch to avoid any type of quarterback controversy during the season.
Don’t be surprised if at some point during the season Forcier leaves the program by transfer or simply just quitting the team.
