There’s that old saying that all good things must come to an end, and that’s certainly what happened Thursday night at the Joe when the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Wings 4-3 in the shootout.
Detroit though was well on their way to winning their 24th straight home game before Daniel Sedin scored his second goal of the night with 15 seconds left in the third period.
After a scoreless overtime, both teams went to the shootout where Alex Burrows secured the victory for Vancouver in the third round.
Darren Helm gave the Wings the lead in the first period scoring his 7th goal of the season unassisted.
