The Rangers would love for third baseman Adrian Beltre to return to the team after suffering a hamstring injury, however with their slight cushion in the AL West the general consensus among the Rangers is to not rush the return.
Beltre has been cleared to run the bases at less than full speed tweets Jeff Wilson, suggesting the veteran is at least a week away, likely twice that.
Currently in Beltre’s absence Michael Young is hitting .349 in August as the regular third baseman, which is another reason to give Beltre his time to fully recover.
