Cubs shortstop Starlin Castro had $3.6 million dollars seized from his bank account Friday after a disagreement with a baseball academy in his native Dominican Republic according to the Chicago Tribune. The dispute reportedly stems from an agreement Castro’s father made with the academy – Mi Futuro Biliguer – when the shortstop was just 15 years old.
Luckily for Castro, he signed a $60-million contract extension with the Cubs back in 2012 which runs through 2019.
