Spartans lose four star recruit Se’Von Pittman to Buckeyes

The Urban Meyer effect is on…

Friday evening four-star defensive end Se’Von Pittman announced that he has decommitted from Michigan State and has given Urban Meyer and the Ohio State Buckeyes his verbal pledge.

Pittman originally committed to the Spartans back in June and also received scholarship offers from Auburn, Florida, Notre Dame, Michigan, West Virginia, Alabama and Tennessee among others.

No word yet on if more Michigan State commitments will follow Pittman to Ohio State.

Michigan state cornerback recruit Jermaine Edmondson was a high school teammate of Pittman and mentioned that Pittman’s presence with the Spartans was a reason (but not the only reason) he committed to Michigan State.

Edmondson is a three-star recruit.
