First off, it’s absolutely true that if the Lions don’t win on Sunday night their road to the Super Bowl undoubtedly gets tougher. Having to go on the road in the regular season is tough on its own, trying to win on the road in the playoffs is on an entirely different level.
On Saturday morning’s “First Things First”, noted Lion hater Nick Wright gave his take on tomorrow night’s game going as far as to say that if the Lions lose to the Vikings then he’s picking against them in the Wild Card round the following weekend.
What’s funny about Nick’s take here isn’t the fact that he’s taken just about every opportunity to dump on the Lions at every chance he’s gotten this season but we still don’t know who the Lions would face if they were to drop Sunday night’s game against Minnesota. They could go on the road to face the Rams or down south to take on the Buccanneers with each team posing a different set of challenges for Detroit. For any reasonable person to make this proclamation without even knowing the opponent while also considering the Lions went undefeated on the road this past season is equally as asinine.
