Seattle Seahawks and Bobby Wagner sign extension

Bobby Wagner

Just a few days after the Seattle Seahawks gave quarterback Russell Wilson a contract extension, they’ve officially agreed to a four-year contract extension with their middle linebacker Bobby Wagner.

Wagner, 25, was a first team All-Pro selection in 2014 despite missing five games due to injury. Wagner was a second round pick out of Utah State from the 2012 draft and was set to hit the free agent after this upcoming season. Wagner was only supposed to make $977,427 dollars in the final year of his rookie deal.

Last season, Wagner only played in 11 games and finished the year with 104 tackles and two sacks. He’s also the all-time leader in tackles in Super Bowl games with 22. In three NFL seasons, Wagner has recorded 257 tackles, nine sacks and five interceptions.

Below are the details of the value on the contract as it was first reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL.com on Twitter.
