“There’s been plenty of talk and we’re seeing some progress down at the back of the first round,” Schwartz said. “I think (Nos.) 27 and 28 have signed and I think (No.) 32, Patrick Robinson, just signed. That’s encouraging. We’re probably closer with Jahvid at that point because of the people around him. I wouldn’t anticipate that being a long-term thing.”
Things with Suh continue to be a little more complicated mostly due to the fact that the top overall pick Sam Bradford hasn’t signed his contract yet with the St. Louis Rams. Once this happens more domino’s will fall into place and probably lead to a agreement between Suh and the Lions. On the downside Suh is represented by Eugene Parker and Roosevelt Barnes who were partly responsible for Michael Crabtree’s holdout with the San Francisco 49ers last season.
