During todayโs White House press briefing, press secretary Sarah Huckabee-Sanders continued to push the notion that the players taking part in the NFL National Anthem protests were anti-flag and anti-coutry. This of course is despite players repeatedly reaffirming their stance that taking a knee during the National Anthem has nothing to do with disrespecting the country or flag but everything to do with racial and social injustices in the country. However though during the course of Huckabee-Sanders towing this nonsensical Trump account, the press secretary had an interesting choice of words when describing the protests saying they were โpretty black and whiteโ.

However, as Huckabee-Sanders takes her foot out of her mouth thereโs much more of a pressing issue with all of this.
Itโs the Trump administration either completely missing the point when it comes to the true basis of these protests, the President being a bigot considering how he addressed the protestors as โsons of bitchesโ while Neo-Naziโs where โvery fine peopleโ and/or the administration changing the narrative when something becomes difficult to talk about. Hey instead of addressing racism and other forms of social injustice head on, lets change that narrative to an issue of disrespect of country because I gotta keep catering to my base.
