The short lived Adrian Peterson era in the Big Easy has come to an end.
Tuesday, the Saints traded the growing malcontent Peterson to the running back starved Cardinals for used $20 Speedway gift card with $5.00 left on it and a late-round conditional draft pick.
The #Cardinals have traded for Adrian Peterson, source said (as @diannaESPN said). Should be lots of opportunity there.

Peterson has had just 27 carries for 81 yards while in New Orleans and is “so ecstatic” according to the NFL Network’s Stacey Dales following the trade. The former League MVP and seven-time Pro Bowler will surely find himself as a bigger piece of the Arizona offense considering David Johnson is lost for the season with a wrist injury. Not to mention Arizona cleared the way for Peterson by releasing veteran back Chris Peterson.
Still though it’s hard to look past the value (or lack-thereof) the 32-year-old was able to muster on the trade market.
How the mighty have fallen.
