Ryan Braun tests positive for performance enhancing drugs

According to ESPN’s Outside The Lines, Ryan Braun, the 2011 National League MVP has test positive for performance enhancing drugs. Outside the Lines further states that Braun is appealing the finding which is why Major League Baseball hasn’t gone public with the news.

If Braun’s appeal falls through, he will have to serve a 50 game suspension per the MLB’s performance enhancing drugs policy.

When talking about New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez’s suspension, Braun was pretty course saying, ”I would never do it because if I took steroids, I would hit 60 or 70 home runs.”

According to TheBigLead.com, Braun was notified of the findings about a month before he was named MVP which were triggered by elevated testosterone levels.
