UPDATE: Conflicting reports on Texas hiring Charlie Strong…

Perhaps the biggest college football head coaching job has been filled.

According to 247 Sports’ Bobby Burton, Texas will hire Louisville’s Charlie Strong as their new head coach replacing Mack Brown.

Now he may not be Nick Saban nor be the name that is Jim Mora Jr. however Charlie Strong does bring some pretty strong numbers (no pun) to the table. During the past two seasons Louisville has gone 23-3 under the guidance of Strong. It will be very interesting to see what he can do with a vast resources that the Longhorns bring.
