Report: Pistons’ Ben Wallace arrested for driving while intoxicated and carrying a concealed weapon

According to ClickonDetroit.com, Pistons center Ben Wallace was arrested last weekend on suspicion of drunken driving and carrying a concealed weapon in Bloomfield Township.

He was arraigned on September 24th in Bloomfield Township for those same charges.

The official press release states that Bloomfield Township police stopped Wallace at about 3AM ET in the area of Telegraph and Long Lake roads for erratic driving.

The Police state that Wallace was visibly intoxicated and taken into custody. While in custody Wallace was given a breathalyzer where he blew over the .08% legal limit in the State of Michigan. Police did not release the exact result.

A further search of the vehicle revealed a loaded pistol in a backpack on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Wallace’s next court hearing is set for October 3rd.

UPDATE: Wallace told police that he forgot his wife’s gun was in the car.
