FOX 13 in Tampa reported earlier today that two individuals, Lyndell Hudson and Christion Williams, were taken into custody on suspicion of armed robbery, kidnapping with a firearm, and aggravated battery following an alleged incident at an apartment complex.

In its initial report, FOX 13 stated that one suspect was part of Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold’s security team and that the other was a relative of the player. However, as the story developed, representatives for Arnold contacted the station to dispute those claims. According to the updated reporting, Arnold’s camp says Hudson is not a member of his security team and Williams is not his cousin.

That clarification stands in contrast to statements reportedly made by detectives working the case, who indicated that Hudson was part of Arnold’s security detail and that Williams was related to him. The discrepancy has created confusion about the nature of any connection.

FOX 13 also reported that about a week before the alleged robbery and kidnapping incident, authorities responded to two theft reports at a Largo home. That property was described as a short-term rental being used by Arnold. Among the items reported stolen were high-end bags, firearms, a cellphone, and approximately $100,000 in cash.

At this time, it remains unclear whether any of the items reported stolen were connected to the alleged apartment complex incident involving Hudson and Williams. It is also unclear what, if any, formal link exists between the suspects and Arnold beyond the disputed statements.

The situation remains fluid as authorities continue their investigation. Further clarification from law enforcement or Arnold’s representatives will likely determine the extent of any confirmed connection.
