According to TSN’s Bob McKenzie, the Red Wings have granted head coach Mike Babcock permission to talk to other teams regarding their head coaching vacancies as Babcock’s contract with Detroit is set to expire on June 30th. McKenzie though does point out that these actions by the Red Wings organization doesn’t mean he’s leaving Motown this summer.
