Sunday was the beginning of the Ray Lewis farewell playoff tour which could of had just one date in Baltimore. Fortunately for Lewis the Ravens thought otherwise as the tour continues afters a 24-9 win over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC wild card.
In his final home game Lewis gave the home crowd a show from the beginning with his final dance out of the tunnel to leading the team with 13 tackles.
Joe Flacco who always seems to get some type of criticism in the playoffs whether it’s warranted or not completed 12 of 23 pass attempts for 282 yards and two touchdowns. One of those passes went to Anquan Boldin who finished his day with 5 receptions for 145 yards.
Meanwhile the day wasn’t so good for Colts rookie quarterback Andrew Luck who completed 28 of 54 passes for 288 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception which ended up being costly. With about five minutes left in the fourth quarter the Colts were forced to go for it on 4th and 1. And when Luck dropped back to pass the ball ended up being tipped and then intercepted by Cary Williams essentially ending the game.
The Ravens will now travel out to Denver next weekend for an AFC divisional showdown with the Denver Broncos.
