In the fourth longest game in the NFL history the Baltimore Ravens defeated the top seeded Denver Broncos 38-35 in an overtime playoff game for the ages.
In what was a back and fourth game all day, the Broncos seemingly had the game won.
With 39 seconds in the fourth quarter, Joe Flacco and the Ravens were facing a 3rd and 3 before the Baltimore QB threw and absolute bomb 70 yards to Jacoby Jones for the touchdown tying the game at 35 a piece.
On Denver’s ensuing possession, John Fox decided to kneel on the ball instead of letting Peyton Manning try and win it with half a minute remaining in the game.
After a scoreless first quarter in overtime, Peyton Manning a candidate for MVP threw a crucial interception at midfield before rookie Justin Tucker hit a 47-yard field goal to send the Ravens to the AFC Championship game for the second consecutive season.
