The Predators advance to their first Stanley Cup Finals in franchise history

Predators

Parody in the NHL continued tonight when the Nashville Predators clinched a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals with a 6-3 win over the Ducks winning the Western Conference Finals in six games.

Colton Sissons came out of tonight’s contest with a hat trick as Nashville moved to 7-1 this postseason at home while the Predators also became the third eighth seed to to advance to the Cup Finals since 2006.

I’m also not totally clear on this whole catfish thing… personally I think it’s Nashville trying to force some tradition and try to capitalize on what Detroit does with the octopus. Anyways here’s Taylor Lewan throwing a big fish on the ice during tonight’s game.

Ultimately however the Predators making the Finals is a good thing for the NHL. Nashville is obviously going nuts right now which gives hope to teetering hockey markets.
