Five players and two coaches were sent packing on Sunday after a brawl broke out between the Detroit Pistons and the Timberwolves in the second quarter that spilled into the Target Center crowd.
Up 10 points with just over 8 minutes left before halftime, Detroit’s Ron Holland fouled Naz Reid who was driving to the basket.
After the play, Reid confronted Holland and started pointing a finger at him. In response, Donte DiVincenzo pushed Holland, who retaliated. The situation quickly escalated as the two became entangled in a struggle, pulling everyone on the court into the chaotic scene.
In the aftermath seven ejections were isssues which included Detroit’s Ron Holland, Isaiah Stewart, Marcus Sasser, and head coach J.B. Bickerstaff. Meanwhile, Naz Reid, Donte DiVincenzo, and assistant coach Pablo Prigioni were sent off for the T-Wolves.
