Pistons: Jaden Ivey will miss at least four weeks after knee surgery
Detroit

Pistons guard Jaden Ivey is going to have to wait a little longer to see the court after breaking his left fibula last season.

According to the team, Ivey will miss at least four weeks after undergoing an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee to relieve discomfort.

The team also made it clear that the procedure on his knee had nothing to do with his broken fibula and that he would be reevaluated in the next four weeks, however, some reports are suggesting that the former first round pick could be sidelined into late November.

Before breaking his fibula on New Year’s Day, Ivey was putting together a career year averaging 17.6 PPG, 4.1 rebounds, and shooting 46% from the field (40.9% from three).

Needless to say, JB Bickerstaff will need to make some early adjustments to that backcourt in the early stages of the season given Ivey’s absence, meaning Duncan RobinsonRon Holland, or Ausar Thompson could be seeing more action at the position to start.
