Pistons veteran big man Ben Wallace says he is considering retirement but it leaning towards coming back for one more season, fulfilling the final year of
According to the Detroit Free Press, Wallace told reporters this during a charity softball game in Royal Oak.
“I really haven’t made a decision yet, but I’m leaning more toward playing,” said Wallace, who will turn 37 in September.
Wallace is a former 4 time defensive player of the year that was really showing his age last season. It seemed like he really started to contemplate retirement after the death of his brother towards the end of last season.
Wallace also indicated that he isn’t concerned on who will be the next Pistons head coach.
“I’m at home, and regardless this is where I’m going to finish at,” Wallace said. “It doesn’t really matter.”
