Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk seems pretty set on leaving Detroit and the NHL for Russia at the end of the playoffs.
Last week Elliot Friedman of Hockey Night in Canada reported of a ‘legitimate chance’ that Datsyuk would return to Russia at the end of the season. Today though the veteran Red Wing forward pretty much confirmed his exit according to Mitch Albom of the Detroit Free Press.
“I’m thinking I go home after this season,” Datsyuk told Albom. “I may not be done with hockey, but—it is hard to say—I think I am done playing in NHL.”
