Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had a press conference cut short Wednesday after questions about his ‘great friend’ Donald Trump came up a day after the GOP debates.

According to Patriots beat reporter Jeff Howe (via Deadspin), a team PR representative cut the presser short after a second consecutive question was asked about Trump.

Despite the poll numbers (which Trump will still jump on to point out), the GOP presidential candidate remains a polarizing figure not only in the political realm but socially as well. Trump’s take on immigration and more recent rhetoric on banning Muslims from entering the United States have in many ways made any association with him toxic. But… Brady in all sense set himself up from this and if Trump continues to make boneheaded comments you can sure bet Brady will continue to get lambasted with further questions on his ‘great friend’.
