Patrick Eaves to have MRI Today, Filppula returns later in the week

Ansar Khan of Mlive.com reports that Wings forward Patrick Eaves will have an MRI done today to determine the extent of the damage done on his leg/knee.
According to Khan Eaves was hurt midway through the second period of Tuesday’s 4-3 loss to San Jose, when he delivered a check on Torrey Mitchell and their knees collided.
If Eaves is ruled out for Thursday’s game against Dallas the team will have to recall a player from Grand Rapids, most likely Jan Mursak who just re-signed a contract with the team.
There is also a possibility that Valtteri Filppula will be ready to go Thursday. Filppula has been out since February 7th with a sprained knee as is expected back either Thursday or Saturday.
