Out of all the position battles in Denver, the quarterback position shouldn’t even be considered.
However, Denver still looks as though they will try to force Tim Tebow into being an NFL QB despite the fact that they already have an NFL caliber QB in Kyle Orton already on their roster. In fact Broncos fans still clamor for Tebow to get the nod over Orton this coming season.
But Orton has news for Broncos fans and that is he isn’t looking to win them over.
“My last goal playing quarterback is to win over the fans,” Orton said Monday. “That’s my last goal.”
Telling the fans that their basically a non-factor is pretty crazy, especially in a town like Denver where football is at the top of the pro-sports totem pole. However these are the same fans that are crazy enough to be called for Tebow to start the season so I guess Orton’s feelings are understandable.
