After avoiding a much serious murder charge Thurday, former South African Olympian Oscar Pistorius has been found guilty of culpable homicide (as well as one of three weapons charges) in the shooting death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. Culpable homicide is comparable to manslaughter in the United States and could carry a sentence of up to 15-years in prison. However there’s a good chance that Pistorius serves much less than the allotted 15-years considering the over crowding of the South African jails and not to mention the victories the defense has already been awarded in the case such as Pistorius granted bail until his October 13th sentencing. There’s also a chance that Blade Runner doesn’t serve any jail time at all.
