Ohio State bans Terrelle Pryor from their athletic program

Ohio State announced Tuesday that former QB Terrelle Pryor has been banned from any contact with the athletic program for the next five years.

In a letter from athletic director Gene Smith said that Pryor was ineligible because he failed to cooperate with NCAA and Ohio State investigators. He then added, “The university must also dissociate you from its athletic program for a period of five years.”

What this means is Pryor cannot have any contact with recruits or enrolled Buckeyes. He also cannot accept complimentary tickets to home games and cannot use the team’s athletic facilities.
Gene Smith however did not rule out the use of all campus facilities…
“Please note that this dissociation does NOT prohibit you from enrolling in classes at the university to complete your degree,” Smith wrote. “As you know, I would encourage you to complete your degree.”
This further displays the ridiculousness of Ohio State University regarding the matter. Not only are the majority of the fans using Pryor as a scapegoat but the University is now doing the same exact thing.
Where is the internal criticisms for Jim Tressel, the TRUE dirtbag in this whole matter? Ohio State needs to take the same steps with Jim Tressel that they are doing with Terrelle Pryor but after what is happening with Pryor a resignation just isn’t good enough.
