A No. 1 has finally gone down as more as more brackets become destined for the paper shredder Monday morning.
The number one ranked team in the East Region Villanova fell tonight to the 8th seeded NC State Wolfpack 71-68 in the round of 32. The Wildcats become the first top seeded team to fall in this year’s Tournament and the second straight year they’ve lost in the third round.
