The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun has won his appeal for a suspension stemming from a positive test for performance enhancing drugs. Braun also becomes the first player in MLB history to have a suspension overturned for a positive drug test.
News of Braunβs positive test was first reported on ESPNβs Outside the Lines in December and since then the All-Star outfielder has vigorously denied the test resultsβ¦
βThere are highly unusual circumstances surrounding this case which will support Ryanβs complete innocence and demonstrate there was absolutely no intentional violation of the programβ¦ We are confident he will ultimately be exonerated.β
With these latest developments, itβs now expected that Braun will be with the Brewers this week at Spring Training.
