In the wake of the Lions‘ 14th win of the season by way of a 40-34 pantsing of San Francisco in a revenge game from last season’s NFC Championship, 49ers‘ pass rusher Nick Bosa was gushing over Detroit in the postgame.
“I could just see from afar that it’s probably a fun team to play for,” Bosa said at the podium.
Aside from pride, the win didn’t mean much in the standings as San Francisco was already eliminated entering the game while the Lions’ have clinched a playoff spot but will play for the NFC North and the No. 1 seed in the NFC next Sunday night.
Are the Lions now a destination?
No, Nick Bosa isn’t going to the Lions next season, however, the comment from an All-Pro like Bosa further illustrates the culture change that Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes have managed to orchestrate in Detroit. It may still be weird to come to terms with but the Detroit Lions are a destination now and something to pay attention to with the offseason hopefully still over a month away for the Lions but nonetheless around the corner.
